What is the Release Bay, in plain terms?
Two synchronized cameras positioned at the point of contact, reading how a ball actually leaves the face — its spin axis, spin rate, and launch angle — before it's traveled more than a foot or two. It's the piece of equipment the studio was built around, and every fitting session runs through it at some point.
I'm a mid-handicap player with an average swing speed. Is this still worth doing?
Some of our best outcomes come from exactly that profile. Spin mismatches don't scale with how far you hit the ball — a shaft or head producing the wrong spin signature costs a slower swing just as much distance and accuracy, proportionally, as it costs a faster one.
How much time should I set aside?
Plan on about an hour for one club — driver, fairway wood, hybrid, wedge, or putter. Iron sets take longer, closer to ninety minutes, since every club in the set gets its own reading. A full bag assessment covering everything is closer to a half day.
Will I be pressured to order clubs at the end of the session?
No. You walk out with a build card either way, and there's no sales conversation attached to it. If you do decide to order, whatever you paid for the session comes off the total.
What should I have with me when I arrive?
The clubs the session is about, comfortable golf shoes, and a general sense of your scoring average if you happen to know it. A grip or headcover preference is welcome but not required — we're not grading your equipment taste.
I play left-handed. Does that limit what you can offer?
Not at all. The demo wall carries left-handed options across every category, and the capture pair reads spin the same way regardless of which side you swing from.
What sets this apart from the launch monitor at my local retailer?
Most retail units estimate spin using a radar trace of the ball's flight, sampled after it has already left the face. Our camera pair reads spin at the moment of separation directly, and we still run a full-flight check afterward to confirm the two readings line up.
Once I order, how long is the wait for finished clubs?
Usually about a week. Components live on-site rather than getting routed through a manufacturer's build queue, so most orders don't leave our hands until they're in yours.
What happens if something feels slightly off once I've played the new clubs a few times?
Bring them back within thirty days and any loft, lie, or length tweak is on us. New equipment settles differently than a demo swing predicts, and that adjustment window exists for exactly that reason.
Do you only serve golfers based in Irvine itself?
Irvine is home base, but a good share of our regulars drive in from Newport Beach, Tustin, Costa Mesa, and Lake Forest. Orange County golfers tend to find us one way or another.
